KeePass Password Safe

KeePass Password Safe ImageIf you are going to start dabbling with Internet Marketing, then the chances are that you are going to end up with a whole heap of websites that need passwords and you are not going to be able to remember all of the username/password combinations for your Affiliate Programs off the top of your head.

Keeping them ‘safe’ in something like a spreadsheet probably isn’t a good idea – even if the document is password protected.

My suggestion is KeePass Password Safe as a solution to this problem.

KeePass Password Safe is a free, open-source Windows application that stores your passwords in a strongly encrypted database (only a single file).

You can stash all your important passwords into a single encrypted file that is locked with one single password. So you only have to remember this password. Don’t write it on a Post-It note stuck to your monitor though.

And here is a really cool thing about KeePass Password Safe. You can load the whole program and data file onto a USB memory stick and just carry it around with you so you can access your passwords on whichever PC you are using.

I.E. You can run KeePass Password Safe from the USB key – I think this sort of software is called a Portable App.

If you find that you are accumulating more passwords than braincells, then give KeePass Password Safe. It is free, so you have nothing to lose – but your passwords ;) .

If you remain unconvinced about it’s effectiveness, then you can read all the Security Blurb Here.
